Abstract: Establishing connections through marriages is a basic policy and an important part of political activities of Chu State. The marriage connections recorded in bronze inscriptions excavated from Nanyang Area are different from that in historical documents. Generally speaking both reflect same purpose, i.e., reconstructing a new Chu-centered order in southern land of Zhou Dynasty. Geologically, Nanyang Area is an important part of the southern land, thus, Nanyang Area is of great significance in the history from Zhou to Qin and Han.
